Amelia’s family ties by Marisa Moss is about a girl named Amelia who wrote to her dad, and now he has finally wrote back saying he wants Amelia to visit him! Amelia’s older sister Cleo (who has a jelly roll nose) says she’ll go first. Since there Father wrote to Amelia first she est. to go on a plane as a U.M (unaccompanied minor), first. She flies of to Chicago, Illinois in Mid summer, Just to see her dad, his wife and her baby brother George. Something tells her she’s not going to absolutely love her dad at first site. Maybe it’s the fact that he’s holding a teddy bear, or the fact that he has a jelly roll nose just… like Cleo! Amelia tries to make do with this family that she’s never heard or seen before, but the only person she likes is her half brother George! Suddenly tragedies fall… for a notebook writer.
