Terry Z’s book review of End Game

A young boy named Simon. He is rich. When asleep, in the middle of the night, he is awoken. A program appeared instantly and it lets people make their own games. He chose to be a criminal and to be in reality. He does terrible things that actually happen in his town. Also once he went to his school and smashed it. In the school there were boys walking around trying to figure out what’s happening. Simon sees them and smashes a boy’s chest with a baseball bat. When Simon figures out that it is taking place in really life and stops playing. The game asks, “What are you doing?” Simon’s character heads for his house and go’s inside. The man is after Simon. When Simon realizes the man is coming after him, he starts smashing the game. The criminal breaks into his room but before he touched Simon he disappeared. His parents were very mad at Simon. They forgave him and bought Simon a new computer with a new game. When he starts playing it starts just like the game that had caused disaster in his town. Brendan B’s Book Review

The book that I’m reviewing is Frindle by Andrew Clements. The main character is Nick Allen. The story is about Nick Allen makes the word pen also the word Frindle in school and most of the school likes the name. This guy Bud though doesn’t like the name and he wants the name Frindle to stop. I would recommend this book to 4th graders because it’s a good mystery story. Read the trouble it causes all through the story.

Sam F's review of the The Sea Of Monsters

The Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan is my favorite all time book. It’s about a 12-year-old kid named Percy, and a half Cyclops half kid named Tyson. Tyson soon becomes Percy’s half brother. Also in the book, there is a girl named Annabeth. Percy, Tyson, and Annabeth are half bloods, witch means that they are the suns and daughters Greek gods. Their camp is in a lot of trouble because, the tree that protects there camp is poisoned. So they go on a long journey threw the sea of monsters. Later in the book they, achieve their destiny of saving the camp.
The book has a lot of action and the characters are very funny. These are the qualities that made me want to finish the book. If you like action packed books than you should read The Sea Of Monsters.

Aimee B’s Review on Pieces of Georgia

I think that Pieces of Georgia is a great book. It is about a young girl Georgia’s mother died when Georgia was three. As Georgia went to a class in middle school a teacher called Georgia into her office. The teacher told Georgia to write in a red leather notebook about her feelings on what had happen to her mother. So later on in the book Georgia made more friends from her school. I think that maybe since she started to write in the notebook she started to change. Pieces of Georgia is a great book for girls and boys ages 10-13.

Ayah's Review of First American Colonies

I read the book, First American Colonies by Yannick Oney. It’s an informational book. It was about the Spanish, and Dutch settlers, and it was about Jamestown, Roanoke, and Pocahontas, and all those things. It was an interesting book. I thought it was really sad that the settlers captured Pocahontas when Captain John Smith left. I thought it was really rude and mean that they made Pocahontas get married to John Rolfe. But worst of all, it was horrible that they made her change her religion, wear the woman settler’s clothes, and they made her change her name to Rebecca! I’m sorry, but your name is your name. No one should tell you what to do.

I liked this book because I liked to see how it was like in the past and how far developed it is now in the future. I liked to se how people had o cook over an open fire, and how people needed to trade in order to survive. It was cool to see how they had to deal with Native Americans and the different reasons why they came to settle in America.
It’s a very interesting book.

Nick A's review of Inside the Earth

I read the book called Inside the Earth by Joanna Cole. This book genre is Informational. This book is about inside the world. Like and volcano’s. There are three different types of volcano. Cinder Cone, Shield, Composite. Cement is made out of limestone and shale. Those are two types of rock. Some other rocks are marble, granite, slate, sandstone, basalt, obsidian, pumice, and quartzite. When you go under ground you have to go down FOUR LAYERS and those layers are 1. Soil 2. Sandstone 3.Shale 4.Limestone before you hit the bottom. I liked this book because it is very informational and I learned a lot about rocks and volcano’s and the earth. I would recommend this book to any one who wants to learn about the earth.

Amber’s Review of Dog Alog

I read the book called Dog Alog by: Dr. Bruce Fogle. This book has 432 pages. I like this book because I got to learn about all kinds of dog breeds, there are more than 400 breeds in this book. One of my favorite breeds is the Yorkshire Terrier. I liked this dog because it is really cute, but unfortunately brought with it, it has many medical problems. A few of the medical problems are gum disease, and collapsed windpipes. I also liked the Maltese, it is also really cute. This dog is good with little kids, other dogs, it can live in apartments, it is suitable for hot, sunny climates, and it needs daily grooming. I recommend this book to anyone that might be getting a puppy or a dog so they can study about them so they will be ready for the new family member. I also recommend this book to dog lovers, like me! Also I liked it because it was very detailed like, suitable, collapsed, and unfortunately, I like the way they said those words instead of fell down , and sadly. Really like how the book somehow made me attached to it, and it made me not want to put it down.
