Gabby's book review of The Well
I just finished reading The Well by Mildred D. Taylor. This book is about a boy’s family named the Logans. David who is one of the Logans is the one telling the story. The book is mostly about discrimination against colored people. It is about how after the civil war white people still treated colored people badly. While I was reading this book I made a prediction. I predicted that Hammer David’s brother was going to get in a fight with Charlie (a white boy who was always mean to David and Hammer). Hammer punched Charlie so hard that Hammer and David though Charlie was dead. Hammer beat him up because Charlie made fun of them because David and Hammer were colored. One thing that I could visualize was when Charlie and his brother Ed-rose put a dead animal in the Logans well. After this happened in the book Hammer stood up for his mom because Mr. Mcalister Smith who is Charlie’s and Ed-rose’s father was going to have hammer’s mom’s head for accusing Charlie and Ed-rose of putting the dead animal in the well. I liked this book because it made me think of how lucky I was to not have been in such a serious situation like in this book.
Catherine's Review of It's Hot and Cold in Miami
I have just finished reading It’s Hot and Cold in Miami by Nicole Rubel. It is about twins named Rachel and Rebecca, and they do not get along very well sometimes. Rachel has more of a loose and adventurous personality and Rebecca has a more up tight personality. And when they are together, they get in lots of trouble! While reading It’s Hot and Cold in Miami I learned two lessons, 1: I learned to not be snobby and braggy. And 2: To always tell the truth and try to do the right thing.

Adam's review of If You Lived at the Time of Martin Luther King
The book If You Lived at the Time of Martin Luther King is by Elle Levine. This book is about what happened in the time of Martin Luther King Jr. It tells you all about the unfairness the black people had. They talk about Freedom rides, what was unfair, and a lot of other good stuff. It can help you learn about segregation and to treat black people the same as white people.

Patrick's Book Review of Outside and Inside Sharks
The author talks about sharks and their all cool abilities. She says that sharks can locate an animal hiding under water. Sharks eat huge fish, and they have fewer bones then a fish. Sharks have five different kinds of fins, the dorsal fin, the caudal fin, the pectoral fin, the pelvic fin, and the anal fin. Sharks stomachs are basically indestructible. On a scale from one to ten, one being the worst and ten being the best, I give it a nine.
